LekkerBos It's lekker bos.
A launch site for canned rooibos tea: four flavours, a pre-order cart, a subscription box — and a braai game.

01 — The brief
The problem it solves
LekkerBos is canned rooibos tea with lemon and honey: three ingredients and water, no caffeine. A new drink needs to be tasted on screen before anyone can taste it in a can.
The brief: a single, loud, joyful launch page that sells the flavours, takes pre-orders, introduces the wider pantry range and gives distributors a way in.
02 — What we built
Features that do real work.
Flavour switcher
Original, Hot Bos, Lekker Wet and Lekker Dry, each with its own colour, notes and heat rating.
Pre-order cart
A slide-out cart with a step-by-step pre-order flow: packs, country, shipping method, estimated arrival and total.
The Lekker Bos Box
South African pantry boxes that mail flat and keep for months, one-off or every two months at 10% off.
Braai Master
“Tetris, but with meat”: cuts drawn to real size land on a 60 × 40 cm grill; flip on time, plate them, score out of 100%.
Distributor desk
A separate inquiry page for distributors by territory and channel.
03 — How it's put together
Structure
One long-scroll store — drinks, biltong, teas and spices, boxes, braai — plus a distributor page, so every path ends in the cart or the distributor form.
Under the hood
- Hand-built HTML, CSS and JavaScript; pre-orders captured with Netlify Forms
- Brand type system built on Bowlby One and Figtree
- Shipping rules for meat products handled honestly: biltong ships only where it legally can
Details that matter
- “Tap a can for a sip” micro-interactions
- Food pairings for the braai: which can goes with which cut
- A free braai playlist link, because the brand is the afternoon, not just the can
For a product nobody has tasted yet, the site has to be the tasting: personality first, then a cart that makes pre-ordering one tap away.
