01 — The brief

The problem it solves

Hope & Love is the private practice of Matt Harris, a Registered Psychotherapist serving individuals and couples across Ontario — virtually province-wide and in person in Prince Edward County.

The people the site needs to reach are carrying anxiety, depression, addiction or a relationship in crisis, and shame often stops them asking for help. The brief: meet them where they are, answer the practical questions before they have to ask, and make the first step a free, private conversation.

02 — What we built

Features that do real work.

“Where do you need support?”

Homepage entry cards written in the visitor's own words — “I'm overwhelmed by worry, fear, or panic” — rather than clinical labels.

Condition pages

Dedicated pages across anxiety, depression, addiction, couples and men's mental health, grouped in a clear menu.

Honest location pages

Province-wide virtual pages plus a local Quinte cluster, each labelled plainly as virtual or in person.

Free consultation

Every booking button goes to the practice's clinical booking system for a free 20-minute consultation.

Fees, published

Session fees, insurance receipts and the cancellation policy are on the site, not behind a phone call.

03 — How it's put together

Structure

Organised by condition, by location and by audience (individuals and couples), with a resources hub and a detailed FAQ.

Under the hood

  • Schema: MedicalBusiness and ProfessionalService, with the practitioner and the therapies offered
  • Google Consent Mode v2 with every signal denied by default, and a clear Accept / Decline / Customise choice
  • The website is kept separate from clinical records, which stay in the booking system
  • A crisis notice (911 / 988) on every page

Details that matter

  • No waiting-room tone: “without shame and without judgment” runs through the copy
  • Credentials and approach stated plainly on the About page
  • Privacy-first analytics setup suited to a sensitive health service

For a sensitive service, conversion design is trust design: plain prices, plain language, honest locations and privacy defaults that respect the visitor.
